Exercise Ball

Now for my Exercise Ball Workout with my 3 Favorite Stability Ball Exercises for Core Stabilty and Back Pain Relief!

What is common between an exercise ball workout, stability ball exercises and swiss ball exercises? They are 3 different names for the same form of exercise. Similarly, taking a snooze, having a nap, or dozing off all mean the same thing, shutting you off.

Exercise ball or swiss ball exercises can be a very effective as a back exercise treatment option if you are suffering from lower back pain due to a weak core. The exercises are designed to help prevent further episodes of low back pain as part of a rehabilitation and preventative program.

What is so unique about the swiss ball is that they challenge your balance, stability and overall coordination, making this a multi-purpose exercise ball workout. This “core” workout focuses on using a stabilty ball to strengthen the core muscles: the abs (rectus abdominis, transverse abdominis, and internal/external obliques) and the back muscles (erector spinae).

The stability ball exercises create an unstable situation, and the body responds naturally and automatically to this instability, attempting to keep balanced on the exercise ball. Over time, the core muscles that have been working hard to keep you balanced on the swiss ball become stronger. In essence, you strengthen your abs and the muscles around the spine without directly working on them.

I am going to share 3 powerful exercises from my workout in the video tutorial below which will help prevent future back pain. Only do these stability ball exercises when you have no back pain. Do them slowly and progressively move from Exercise 1 to 3 over the period of a week.
