Are you suffering from a Whiplash Injury or Strange Whiplash Symptoms from a MVA? Here are some safe Whiplash Treatment Options for your Neck Pain.
So what is whiplash? A whiplash injury occurs when an abnormal motion or force is applied to the neck causing the neck to move beyond its normal range of motion. This often causes whiplash symptoms such as minor tears in the muscles and ligaments, and occasionaly damages the neck bones resulting in a severe neck spasm or neck ache. The most common cause of whiplash is due to motor vehicle accidents (MVA’s), sports injuries, accidental falls, and physical assault. All of these traumas cause similar whiplash symptoms which I will explain below.
Frequently, in the case of a whiplash injury caused by a MVA, the speed of the impacting car results in minimal physical damage to the car, but the resulting neck injury can be severe. I have had clients who had MVA’s at speeds as low as 20 miles per hour, which can still produced enough energy from the impacting trauma to cause severe whiplash symptoms for months. These bizarre symptoms from whiplash may occur immediately after the MVA or minutes to weeks after the initial injury.
How long these symptoms last can vary according to the type of whiplash treatment and care that you receive. To overcome these symptoms you must be pro-active. I recommend that you first start with my Acute Pain Relief Program right away, then click on to the neck spasm section after the acute pain has subsided.
